Bucharest City Centre is located at the very heart of Romania's capital, a city that accounts for around 15 per cent of the country's GDP and about a quarter of its industrial production. The centre is a short walk away from the well-known University Square and close to a number of educational facilities and government buildings. Bucharest's economy is mainly centred on industry and services, with services particularly growing in importance in recent years. The headquarters of more than 150,000 firms, including nearly all the largest Romanian companies, are located in Bucharest. An important source of growth has been the city's rapidly expanding property and construction sector. Bucharest is also Romania's largest centre for information technology. Bucharest City Centre occupies seven floors of this modern A-class building and is close restaurants, hotels, theatres, museums, cinemas and shops. It is well served by public transport.
